Snowball fight

For my Father, Alex Shannon

A story he once told me. If I can remember, it goes like this.

1949 and snowfall in Los Angeles ! He shouldn’t have, but he “skipped” a few classes with a couple of friends, drove up to the foothills, filled the car with snow, raced back to school and started a snowball fight!

Needless to say, my father was called into the Principal’s office and my grandmother was called to meet with them. My father was sketchy about the outcome (hmmm), but he told me that the Principal leaned over to my grandmother and said, “I might’ve done the same thing when I was his age!”

For my hero, my father. We love you, Dad
